At Lead Pronto, we love championing growth – and Hannah’s journey is a great example of what can happen when passion meets opportunity.
Starting out as a Digital Marketing Apprentice with @Apprentify, Hannah has built her skills, confidence and creativity from the ground up, recently completing her apprenticeship with distinction.
We sat down with Hannah to learn more about her journey so far, what she’s achieved, and how she found her place in the industry.
What sparked your interest in digital marketing?
“I came to the apprenticeship route after deciding I wanted a complete change of career and a fresh start in a new industry. After finishing university, COVID hit, and I worked in a few different roles before reaching a point where I wanted to find a long-term direction and purpose in my work.
I’d been creating my own social content since 2019, so moving into digital marketing felt like a natural progression – and a great way to turn something I genuinely enjoyed into a profession.”
Why did you choose an apprenticeship route?
“An apprenticeship appealed to me because it offered the best of both worlds – the chance to build new skills and gain real industry experience while continuing to earn, which was important to me at 25. Landing my role at Lead Pronto was a huge moment; it truly felt like the start of my career.”
What were your goals entering the apprenticeship?
“My goal was to absorb as much knowledge as I could, grow in confidence, and become a real part of the team. I wanted to make the most of every opportunity to learn and develop my skills within a supportive environment.”
What were the most challenging parts of your apprenticeship?
“The most challenging part was definitely juggling my workload with my apprenticeship studies. At times, it was difficult to know what to prioritise. Luckily, my manager, @Lauren Renshaw, was brilliant at helping me carve out dedicated study time and always made sure I had the resources I needed to succeed.”
What has been your biggest achievement so far?
“My biggest achievement so far has to be leading the Charity of the Year initiative. During my first year at Lead Pronto, I introduced the idea and planned monthly fundraising events – including a skydive!
Together, we raised £6,656.95 for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. It was a huge team effort and something I’m incredibly proud of. I even received an Outstanding Achievement Award, voted for by my peers, which was such a special moment.”
How has your role evolved during the apprenticeship?
“My role at Lead Pronto has been really diverse – no two days are ever the same! From managing social content and supporting projects to working with clients and different teams, I’ve had the chance to get involved in so many areas of the business.
I now take the lead on organic social and reputation management, while also expanding my skills in paid advertising through Meta and LinkedIn. There have already been some exciting conversations about next steps, and I’m really looking forward to what lies ahead in the next year.”
“During my apprenticeship, I expressed an interest in learning more about the paid side of social media. Both Lauren and Louie were amazing at supporting that – they took time to walk me through campaign setup, ad testing and creative analysis.
They’re both brilliant teachers, and I’ve gained so much insight from working alongside them.”
Is there a particular area of the industry you’re keen to specialise in?
“I currently focus on organic social and brand reputation, but I’m continuing to develop my skills in paid social too. Ultimately, I’m passionate about strengthening Lead Pronto’s online presence and finding new ways to connect with audiences across multiple platforms.”
What advice would you give to someone starting the same apprenticeship?
“Don’t let the work pile up. Have open and honest communication with your manager and apprenticeship coach. They’ll always be happy to help and offer advice or perspective when you need it.
And most importantly, have confidence in yourself – you’re probably doing better than you think!”
Hannah’s journey is proof that apprenticeships can be a powerful pathway into the digital industry – especially with the right support, drive and curiosity.
We’re incredibly proud of everything she’s accomplished so far, and we can’t wait to see what she achieves in her role moving forward.
