We set out to raise £5,000 for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. We’ve already surpassed this – and we’re not done yet!
Last year, when we voted in Clatterbridge Cancer Charity (CCC) as our Charity of the Year, we wanted to do more than raise money. We wanted to back a cause that matters to our community and throw ourselves into fundraising in a way that would bring our team together, challenge us and, most importantly, make a difference.
A few representatives of the team visited the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool to see firsthand how the charity supports patients, their families, facilities, and specialist care. It was an eye-opening experience that gave us both a deep sense of purpose and a £5,000 target.
We committed to doing a fundraising activity each month. Some were quick wins, others were bigger challenges – but all of them brought the team closer and pushed our total higher!
Our Year in Fundraising
September – Darts Tournament (Round One)
We kicked things off with a game our team already loved – darts. Splitting into two teams, we added a twist: the losing side doubled their donations. It was competitive, lively, and an easy £63 raised for CCC.

October – Darts Tournament (Round Two)
We loved the first darts event so much, we brought it back the next month – but this time, it was every person for themselves. Even while working from temporary offices during our move, the portable dartboard kept spirits high, bringing in another £73 for the cause.
November – The Great Pronto Bake Off
The kitchen was in full swing for our first bake-off. We charged £2 per bake and £5 for “tasting rights,” and the entries did not disappoint. The winner? Skye’s legendary sausage rolls. A tasty way to raise £125!

December – The Tinsel Throwdown
We paired everyone up for mini Christmas-themed challenges – from the “snowball scoop” to “cookie monster” – turning the office into a festive sports day. Entry was £2 minimum donation and we raised over £80.

January – Pronto Pub Quiz
Packed with varied questions and good-natured rivalry, our first quiz raised £70 – and taught us that pairs don’t work when you want snappy rounds. Too many pieces of paper flying around! Note to self: groups, not pairs next time.

February – Glow Green Walk
Our second-highest fundraiser of the year, raising £782.50 in one night. Joining hundreds of supporters in Liverpool, we walked through the city glowing green in support of CCC.

March – Skydiving Success
The big one – and our highest fundraiser (literally). Six brave team members jumped from 15,000 feet, conquering fears and raising over £4,500!

April – Grand National Sweepstake
An office favourite turned fundraiser. We’d usually do a sweepstake for fun anyway, so why not use it to raise money? Raised: £100.
June – Picnic in the Park Bake Off
Back by popular demand, our second bake-off had a picnic twist. Sunshine, football, and incredible bakes helped raise £126.

July – Pick ’n’ Dip
Fifty mystery cups, £2 a go, with prizes from gift cards to sweets. This quick-fire fundraiser pulled in £137. The team LOVED this one. They couldn’t resist the gamble.

💚 The Final Push
With only two more events to go before our Charity of the Year partnership ends, we’re aiming to push our total even higher. Every pound raised supports Clatterbridge Cancer Charity in providing the best cancer care, funding important research, and offering hope to patients and families across the region.
A Year of More Than Fundraising
What started as a charity target became a year of shared experiences, inside jokes, team bonding, and the kind of moments you talk about long after they’ve passed (like that time we jumped out of a plane).
We want to thank every single person who donated so far, took part, baked, jumped, or cheered us on. You’ve helped us make a difference.
